Code of Conduct

Boardball is committed to conducting business in an ethical, legal, and socially responsible manner. We expect our work and our partners to share and uphold these principles in our business practices. This policy outlines our expectations for ourselves and our partners regarding fair employment practices, sustainable practices, fair treatment of employees and working conditions, and the quality of products.

Fair Employment Practices

To comply with all local and international laws pertaining to fair employment practices. This includes but is not limited to:

  • No Child Labor: Vendors shall not employ individuals in violation of the minimum age laws of their country or engage in any form of child labor as defined by the International Labour Organization’s Conventions.
  • No Forced Labor: Vendors shall not use any form of forced, bonded, indentured, or prison labor. All work must be voluntary and employees should be free to leave their employment after giving reasonable notice.
  • Non-Discrimination: Vendors must ensure a workplace free of discrimination or harassment based on race, color, religion, sex, nationality, physical or mental disability, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other characteristic protected by local law.

Sustainable Practices

To work towards adopting environmentally sustainable practices where possible to minimize their impact on the environment. This includes:

  • Resource Efficiency: Implementing measures to increase energy and water efficiency and reduce waste production.
  • Sustainable Materials: Wherever possible, utilizing sustainable, recycled, or recyclable materials in manufacturing processes and products.
  • Environmental Compliance: Complying with all local and international environmental laws and regulations.

Fair Treatment and Safe Working Conditions

To provide a safe, healthy, and fair work environment for employees, which adheres to the following:

  • Safe Working Conditions: Ensuring the workplace meets or exceeds all applicable laws and regulations regarding health and safety.
  • Reasonable Working Hours: Employees should not be required to work more hours than the maximum set by local law, and any overtime must be compensated at a premium rate.
  • Fair Compensation: Wages paid for a standard working week must meet or exceed the minimum legal or industry standards and be sufficient to meet the basic needs of employees and provide some discretionary income.
  • Freedom of Association: Respecting the rights of workers to form or join trade unions and to bargain collectively, as permitted by and in accordance with local laws.

Quality of Products

To consistently deliver high-quality products that meet or exceed Boardball Inc.'s standards as well as all applicable regulations and customer expectations. This includes:
  • Quality Assurance: Implementing and maintaining a quality assurance system that ensures product consistency, reliability, and safety.
  • Product Testing: Conducting comprehensive product testing to verify products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements before shipment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Engaging in continuous improvement practices to enhance product quality, including regular reviews and updates to quality control processes.
  • Transparency: Providing complete and accurate product information and promptly disclosing any concerns related to product quality or safety to Boardball Inc.
